Maple Canadian College (MCC) was created by the Maple Education Group and its partners.  It was created to enable Africa’s brightest and best students study in Canada and other top global institutions. Through its flagship university preparation program that grooms secondary school students for successful university studies and exceptional professional careers in universities and colleges across the world. MCC students will enjoy a unique, world-class educational experience in Nigeria and graduate fully equipped to take their place in the world. MCC emerges in response to the growing global demand for the increasing Nigerian students studying in Canada and other top global institutions. Canadian education experts are well sought all over the world over for their passion and experience in teaching diverse groups of students. And grooming them to be world-class thinkers and problem solvers. This is why on the Program for International Assessment (PISA), an international test used to measure reading, math, and science skills of teenagers across the world, Canadian students consistently score high among the top 10 countries and far outrank their peers in other industrialized nations such as the United States and the United Kingdom. Furthermore, when results are broken down by region, Ontario-trained high school students end up among the top 5 in the world.

 

University Pathway Program

Today, Maple Canadian College (MCC) students can take their place among the world’s top performers. MCC one-year University Pathway Program is designed primarily for recent secondary school graduates and students who have completed IGCSE/ SS2/Grade 10, 11 and 12 wanting to study in Canada and top global institutions. Students will graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) from Rosedale Academy, a globally recognized ticket to the world’s great universities and colleges.

MCC’s pedagogical program operates on three design elements: Innovative Teaching, More Time to Learn, and Every Student Every Day. These design tenets reflect our belief in hard work, creativity, and consistency as central to academic success and our conviction that students trained in Nigeria can reach learning outcomes on par with similarly-gifted students in the world’s most advanced economies.

The University Pathway Program offers the OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) curriculum, which exceeds the requirements created by the Ontario Ministry of Education in Canada, and consistently ranks in the top 5 secondary school programs worldwide.

Students will be recognized as Canadian students, thereby gaining conditional early acceptance into our Canadian partner universities.

Students will earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), which is accepted by various universities in Canada, USA, UK and Australia. IETLS/ TOEFL will be waived for students applying to universities in Singapore and Malaysia who achieve more than 80% in MCC’s English program.

Our courses are designed with real-world examples, interactive media, problems sets, and activities to give students the academic skills they need to succeed in higher education.

Courses are taught by teachers who have Canadian Teacher Training Certification.

Students will have access to integrated guidance counselling to ensure they are on track for their future university career and our Individual Growth Plan (IGP) will help them develop career objectives and track their progress throughout the year
